You owe it to the Demon within

The search for happiness is futile because it is pointless to search for something that emerges naturally once you become self-aware of your actions.

One bad habit is all it takes to drown yourself. You can attend every self-improvement workshop, read all the productivity guides on the planet and still find yourself — impoverished. We want to transform, become more productive, efficient, empowered, and discover all the means to achieve a lofty goal; yet end up feeding the weed within.

99 Good habits cannot compensate for 1 Bad habit.

A habit by nature hardens over time so be patient. You’ll know the consequence of a habit due to the effect it has on your well-being. It is lot easier to develop a ton of changes to spruce up your routine than trying to break a bad habit. But that really is the only significant improvement you can make — drop what’s not healthy. At first, you may experience a vacuum accompanied with boredom, restlessness and anxiety. Eventually it will wear off and you’ll find yourself looking for a more meaningful purpose.

Rather than worrying about how many skills you need to possess, instead commit to drop the habits that weigh you down and you’ll find yourself in a much better space.

Thanks for reading.
